breaktime steps gettin’ in. i probably cannot convey to you just how much and how all my life i wanted to do my thang on concrete under skyscrapers.
and every day I find deep joy in the experience. watching “the odd couple” opening when Oscar and Felix would walk out of their building and hail a cab or Mary Tyler Moore throwing her hat in the air in the big city. i knew that’s where I wanted to play. every so often in the moments between the moments it hits me where i am and how im doing it. my vacations aren’t to beaches, mountains or tropical resorts I want to see the biggest and busiest cities on the planet. it’s also amusing meeting people who grew up in this type of environment and think it’s no big deal. I tell them they are spoiled. especially them L.A. folks…
