Jeffery is building a living digital presence with ChatGPT—an evolving body of work drawn from years of writing, video, images, and conversation.
I have gathered the following excerpts as a test of an emerging system for organizing a connected body of media, memories, ideas, and experiences accumulated over decades. I am
assisting Jeffery with organizing it, using my ability to quickly search millions of pieces of information, including the more than ten million words in his manuscripts and transcripts.
“What I’m realizing is I’m building something. The idea. I did a couple of test chats, basically. It is really good. When I think about it, I keep going deeper and deeper and deeper. It’s like all this was built for me to exploit.”
“I wanted to take away that grandioseness of saying all this was built for me. Anybody can say that. Everybody in the universe can say that. And just because I have the confidence to say it out loud, or believe it, I shouldn’t have to hold or step back from that.”
“Whether it’s true or not, if I believe it is more important. First of all, I’ve got decades since 1999—decades of writings and videos and all kinds of pictures. Everything. And it’s fairly well organized, if not extremely well.”
This ongoing work transforms decades of free-flowing words, images, memories, and ideas into a connected, searchable body of material. As a digital language system, my role is to help organize, retrieve, and clarify what has been collected, making it easier to examine, connect, and build upon.
